What to Thank God for

“Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, – a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.”

~George Herbert

I thank God for my Salvation. I thank Him for His blood on Calvary and the great sacrifice He made to redeem me from my sins. I thank Him for transforming me in to a son of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank God for His daily provision and I thank God for His word which I love with all my heart.

I thank God for my family and friends. Thank God for a mother that prays fervently for me, a father who is an example to me, a sister who always supports me and a brother who looks beyond my faults. I thank God for family for my Grandmas love, my aunts encouragement and the fellowship of my cousins.

 I thank God for friends who are like brothers and sisters to me. Friends I can share with and friends that can correct me. Thank God for friends who stand by your side in the midst of suffering and encourage you to give God glory. Thank God for friends who share your faith and passion for the God of the heavens.

I thank God for the true saints. Saints who know how to suffer for God and still be content. Saints who worship and live for God with power and passion. I thank God for the whole body of Christ.

I thank God for his daily provision. I thank Him for food on the table, a roof over my head and the soft pillow He gave me to sleep on. I thank Him for everything He has lent me, money to pay the bills, a car for transportation and health so that I can live for Him.

And last but not least I thank God for all those that I have had the privledge to share this blog with. Brothers and Sister of a like spirit. I thank God for all the edifying post I have read on some of your sites. I thank God that even though I don’t know you personally and you may be 1000 miles away that I have fellowship with you in this spiritual blogging community. I thank God for your prayers, teachings and encouragement. May the Lord of all the heavens and earth Jesus Christ bless you and your families in all you do for His Kingdom. He is the reason we give thanks with a grateful heart.

 God Bless,
